By simply twisting the Nokia 3250 it can instantly change from a mobile phone to a camera to a MP3 player. Our starting point was 'A new angle on music' and the brief was to create a microsite highlighting the 3250's unique twisting action and underline it's impressive music capabilities.
We decided to illustrate this by creating a unique multi-angle world where the twisting action was central to the idea. Taking Esher's impossible sketches and the Rubik's cube as inspiration we developed an experience that allowed the viewer to twist between a number of gravity defying rooms to explore the 3250's features.
Using a combination of Flash, 3D, photography and video we were able to make the seemingly impossible possible. Each new room showcased 3250 owners listening to their mobiles while running up walls or dancing on the ceiling. On rollover of these characters, the 3250's main functions and features were displayed.
